This time of the year typically consists of enjoying time spent indoors. It’s cold out, and on top of that, the current pandemic has given us an excuse to spend plenty of time inside. The weather makes you want to cozy up in a warm blanket and watch movies and TV all day. Lucky for you, there are some exciting shows coming to Netflix in February 2021.

Just like the majority of teens, you were most likely hooked by To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. It had a sequel in February 2020, and is now coming out with a third and final movie on Feb. 12, 2021. The movie will be titled To All the Boys: Always and Forever. This will be the bittersweet end of the three movies. The movie is about Lara Jean’s senior year and her plans for the future. How will the series wrap up? We will have to watch and find out on Feb. 12.

The 2000s would not have been complete without iCarly. The show is about a girl named Carly and how her and her friends host an internet show that immediately is a popular favorite. Many people have been wondering: why is it not on Netflix yet? After many years of wanting iCarly to be on Netflix, it’s coming to the platform on Feb. 8, 2021. Only seasons one and two will be available, but two seasons are better than nothing.

Inception is about a man who is able to enter people’s dreams and steal their secrets. Inception came out in 2010, and was directed by Christopher Nolan. The sci-fi action movie is on Netflix as of Feb. 1, along with thirteen other shows including Eat Pray Love, which depicts a story of self discovery starring Julia Roberts. You can watch this dramatic romance along with Inception and many others on Netflix now.

The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 will be added to Netflix on Feb. 21. These thrilling horror movies are a favorite to many who love the thrill they get when watching scary movies. The movies take place in the ‘70s, and show paranormal activity in different households and how it haunts the families in them. If you are looking for movies with jump scares, these are the ones for you. Watch them on Feb. 21 on Netflix.

We wanted to know what other movies or TV shows students want to see on Netflix. Kai Bingham, a junior at Hellgate, said, “I enjoy watching All American on Netflix.” He went on, “I really want Avatar: The Last Airbender as well as all of the Harry Potter movies to be put on Netflix.” Junior Audrey Warren said, “my favorite show on Netflix is Outer Banks because it reminds me of my childhood when I would visit my grandparents in North Carolina. It’s very nostalgic for me.” Warren continued, “I wish that they had The Real Housewives series on Netflix. I love watching that show because the girls are so over-dramatic. I think it’s super funny to watch.”

Because Netflix tends to remove many shows, Bingham said, “I miss when [SpongeBob SquarePants] was on Netflix.” When asked what Bingham was looking forward to seeing on Netflix in February, he said, “I have never seen The Conjuring movies but I have heard they are pretty good. I’m looking forward to watching them when they are released.” Audrey Warren said, “I love iCarly. I had all the DVDs when I was little! I’m so happy it’s on Netflix now.”

New content is coming to Netflix almost everyday in February. It’s safe to say that many of us are looking forward to watching these fantastic shows that are soon to be released. With so many different genres of movies and TV shows coming, you are sure to find something you will like. You are going to want to tune into Netflix through the month of February.
