Billie Eilish, singer/songwriter best known for her songs “bad guy”, “ocean eyes” and “BIRDS OF A FEATHER”, recently completed her tour for her most recent album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. After 106 shows throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, Eilish closed out her tour on Nov. 23 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. The tour made total revenue of over $181 million with 1,168,891 attendees.
After the release of her third studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft, Eilish became the most streamed artist on Spotify and the youngest to surpass 100 million streams. In addition to rave reviews for her album, the tour was arguably her most successful and most interactive for fans.
With a full 360-degree stage in the middle of the pit, different from her past stages that faced the audience, there was not a bad seat in the house. I got to experience the tour twice from two different locations and can confirm that from any angle the concert was phenomenal. From the pit, it feels as though you are on stage with Eilish, fully immersed in the concert, you can also feel the heat from the flames that Billie Eilish uses during “bury a friend” and her emotional hit “Happier Than Ever.” With the large stage, she is able to move around the arena and give attention to every fan. Sitting high up is almost a completely different experience, there are visuals on the floor of the stage as well as the screens showing video clips you are unable to see from the pit. With all the amazing seating options, Eilish gives her fans a show that is unlike others. In addition to the expansive main stage, Eilish has a small B-stage off to the side where she sings Charli XCX’s “Guess” after jumping through a small platform in the stage.
Eilish switches dramatically from her soft, emotional music to her louder and more upbeat songs within seconds, which creates a sense of anticipation throughout her concerts. During her acoustic set, she usually plays “SKINNY”, “Your Power”, “TV” and occasionally a surprise song or cover. Right after leaving the fans teary-eyed, Eilish ramps up the energy with “Bury a Friend” and creepy graphics of ghosts and dead bodies. In Europe, Eilish added “Halley’s Comet” to the setlist, a love song on the album Happier Than Ever. She also began covering more songs, some of which include Creepy by Radiohead, Another Love by Tom Odell and the Beatles’ Yesterday. With the possibility of a cover, it left the audience on their toes waiting to see what Eilish would play next.
In December 2024, during her five sold out shows in her hometown, Los Angeles, Billie Eilish covered a Holiday song nightly and was joined by her brother Finneas. This was the first tour Finneas did not join her on because he was working on his respective projects. Additionally, in Los Angeles, Eilish was joined by Charli XCX, where they played “Guess” for the first time live.
With a devoted following, her fans often create chants during some parts of the set. During “WILDFLOWER,” instead of singing the lyrics with Eilish, the fans sing the ad-libs (improvised vocalizations to add emotion.) Eilish has stated that the ad-libs of “WILDFLOWER” are her favorite parts of the song, and her fans singing them show their love for her. Fans have also created projects for specific shows. For the 10th anniversary of “Ocean Eyes”, fans held up pieces of paper with lyrics from her debut song.
At Billie Eilish’ last show on Nov 23. In San Francisco, Eilish announced the release of Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), which she worked on with James Cameron, the creator of Avatar, coming out March 20, 2026. While no release date or title have been confirmed, Eilish mentioned working on her fourth album with her brother Finneas after her tour. After her most successful tour yet, hopefully Eilish will relax and take a break before continuing her work for the future.
