The Coffee Cart, a landmark of Hellgate highschool has had a makeover. While it was once just a little stand in the lower commons, it now has its own permanent location where the old concessions stand used to be.
The larger space makes it easier and faster to get everybody’s drink made for them on time, and also allows the PTA volunteers to have more space to move.
Sophomore Emerson Dady comments on the change, stating that, “ I forget it’s there but lowkey it’s nice. It’s a lot bigger.”
This seems to be a common theme. Change often takes time to get used to, and many people have to reform the habit to a new location.
Sophomore Maggie Skinner brings up a valid complaint. “I don’t know, I like it, I think the line can sometimes get in the way though.” Because of its new location the Coffee Cave is right in the middle of a main hallway, making it hard when the line for drinks occurs during passing periods. At this time there is no real solution to this traffic jam, but as we get used to the location people will adjust.
Overall the rebrand has been successful, and although many people continue to call it the Coffee Cart, its new revamped location is hard to ignore.
