Lil Uzi Vert dropped a new album on Oct. 31, 2024. The album is called Eternal Atake 2, the second part to one of his most popular albums, Eternal Atake. This album features very few artists, but it has one listed with Big Time Rush. Personally I do not think that it was a necessary collab or a very good song.
The songs on this album seem very repetitive and I’m honestly a little bit disappointed. Uzi is a very talented artist, and while I’m not saying that all these songs are bad, Ithink that he could have done better. My favorite songs from this album are Not An Option, Chill Bae and Mr Chow, becauseIi feel like these ones stand out the most from the rest of the album. There were definitely parts of this album when I didn’t even know the song changed which isn’t a very good look.
Overall, the album just could have used a little more creativity in my opinion.
The instrumentals and beats in this album were very catchy, his lyrics were just alright, I think that even though it’s kind of his thing. The use of auto-tune was just too much at times. In contrast to a lot of other artists, he uses the farthest possible thing from his voice. If it wasn’t for his more unique style of music he really would not be a very great artist at all.
This album was very anticipated and Uzi was making a very big deal about it, going so far as changing all his other album covers to have a semi transparent white figure over them. I think that doing all of this made the hype surrounding the album a little too big.
There are many theories about this album, one of which is that he only dropped it to get out of a label deal. Which many seem to think Uzi revealed when asked about it during a press release.
People were expecting Luv Is Rage 3, but all in all the Eternal Atake was decently reciprocated. Everybody thought it would be something different but the album didn’t turn out terrible. It definitely won’t be one of his biggest hits but he’s making tons of money off of it and people always love when Uzi drops. I would say it’s worth a listen or two but not super playlist worthy.
