From changes to rules and schedules, the beginning of the new year is filled with loads of confusion. Hopefully through this little Q&A I can answer the burning questions that we all have.
Q: Why did they start locking the gate?
A: The decision to close the gate was one made by the district. Hellgate was the only school with more than one entrance to the building. By limiting the number of entrances to the building they also made the building safer.
Q: Are they going to do anything about the rats in the locker room?
A: After talking to three members of the staff and students who frequent the locker room we can confidently say that there are no rats in the locker room.
Q: Where should I go for lunch?
A: I personally think that we luck out here at Hellgate because there is no lack of places to go for lunch. Within walking distance you have the University food court, Bridge Pizza, Big Dipper, Vera Doughnuts, Green Source, Clyde Coffee, and Kornutopia. If you are someone who drives, options open up to Albertsons, Five Guys, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, Doc’s Sandwiches, Worden’s Market, and Jimmy Johns.
Q: Where do I park?
A: This is everyone at Hellgate’s dying question. Now there’s not a lot of advice that I can give. If you want a good parking spot you have to get here early and get comfortable parallel parking. The earlier you get here the better the spot you’ll get.
I hope that with these answers you’ll not only receive the answers to your burning questions and that you have a better understanding of the changes with the gate.
