Last-Minute Halloween Costumes
Picture this, it’s the night before, or maybe even the day of, Halloween. You realize that do not have a costume to “wow” your friends with. You are discovering that you can’t amaze people at your nightly excursion to collect free candy on the streets of Missoula or go hang out with friends and be dressed up. Maybe you even do a role play in your costumes. Anyway, you are panicking, because you don’t have any idea of what you can dress up as. Your mind jumps to the internet, thinking you can Amazon Prime a costume to your doorstep in 20 minutes. Reality check, you can’t. Your heart is thumping, and your mind is all over the place. Bam! An idea pops up! All the thrift stores have got your back! So maybe you run to Goodwill to pick up some last-minute materials, and create that extraordinary costume you planned 4 months ahead. Let’s pause, and clock into real-time and let us help you create a costume that’s cheap and quick. Don’t you worry because Audrey and Gabi are here to save you and your Halloween nightmare.
We have a wide variety of costume ideas. The categories are large; it’s up to you to decide what you want to be: An animal? Your favorite cartoon or tv show character? Your favorite foods? You name it, and we’ve got it covered. Want to be a cartoon animal or character? Go stop by Michaels Arts and Crafts store to get a t-shirt that is the color of your character. The t-shirts are generally pretty cheap but if you still aren’t wanting to purchase anything, find an old shirt in your closet! While you’re at the store, don’t forget to pick up some paint so that you can paint the character’s face on the t-shirt. Both of us know this works well because we have done this in the past for costumes for Halloween along with Spirit Week.
Not feeling the t-shirt? Don’t sweat it, it’s a good idea, but you could stop by Spirit Halloween or Party America and pick up some accessories or a cool mask to contribute to your costume as well. While you’re there, you could just buy a whole costume! Wanting a decades theme? Still a cartoon character? As long as you have the basic clothing for the character and some accessories, you’re golden! Black leggings or jeans are the perfect clothing choice for ANY costume you choose. They will also keep you very warm in the cold fall in Montana.
Pretty much, what we are trying to say is that it’s not too hard to get a costume together in a short amount of time. It might not be your dream costume, but at least it works, and it’s something so that you’re not left out of your group or are the only person who isn’t wearing something. We all know when you’re in that situation, you get made fun of, and that never feels great. Hopefully, your Halloween costume will be ready before Halloween, but if it’s not, we’ve got your back. If you’re not dressed up, well there is simply no excuse.
