Prom on a budget!!!

You don’t need to spend lots of money to look great at prom! There are plenty of affordable options to spend very little money for the big night!

Clothing options:

  • Borrow a dress from a friend
    • This is the cheapest way to get a dress, because you won’t need to buy a whole new dress. You might have to get some alterations, but usually those don’t cost too much money.
  • Find a suit on Craigslist
    • Look for somebody who has the same measurements as you, and you will be able to keep the suit and wear it again! Suits are extremely expensive so finding one at a good price is like finding a diamond in the rough.
  • Buy shoes from a low priced website
    • Shoes are more practical to buy, because usually there are other events you can wear them too. You don’t have to break the bank to find a great pair of shoes though! Look for a style of shoe you are looking for and some websites should pop up, and give reasonable prices.
  • Websites to shop on:
    • Lulu’s
    • Missguided
    • Nasty Gal
    • Fashion Nova

Restaurant options:

  • Go to somewhere that you can get food fast!
    • Some restaurants are good about serving patrons quickly. Try to go somewhere that you know is reliable
  • You don’t need to go to a fancy restaurant
    • Dinner can be equally fun somewhere that you don’t get seated. As long as you’re with a fun group of people, you’ll start off the night right!
  • Make a reservation
    • Restaurants fill up, especially since it’s on a saturday night, there could be non-prom related reservations that fill up a place. Make sure to check in with your group on where you’ll go and save yourself a spot!
  • Affordable restaurants
    • El Cazador
    • Pie Hole
    • 5 on Black
    • Taco Bell
    • El Diablo
    • Ciao Mambo
